Volunteer with Us
Helpline Volunteers Required
Surrey Drug and Alcohol Care operates with a team of 60 volunteers who come from a variety of backgrounds, including counselling or have personal experience of drugs and alcohol in their own lives.
We are looking for people with empathy and good listening skills who have a few hours to spare each week and an interest in voluntary services.
Do you have a genuine interest in and concern for individuals suffering from drug and alcohol abuse, their families and friends?
Perhaps you are interested in developing a career in counselling or have already qualified and wish to devote some time to the voluntary sector?
Trustees Required
The charity is managed by a Chairman, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and a committee of 7 other volunteers. There is one paid position in the charity, a coordinator and referrals manager. The committee also takes on many additional roles, such as a Manager in charge of Marketing and Publicity, and a Schools and Community Relations Manager. Other members of the committee take an active role in fund raising activities or other required functions. We are always looking for members of the community who would like to give their professional skills to assist in the growth and management of our organisation.
Join Surrey Drug and Alcohol Care and enjoy the fellowship of others who like yourself want to contribute to the welfare of the community.
